children : We shall live in peace!

We shall live in peace some day!

Russians often say - they live a cat and a dog life, an endless feud. But are cats and dogs always 'foes'? Isn't mutual affection possible?
A cat is usually a dominant towards a dog (and sometimes even a human). But if the hierarchy was reversed, a large sized dog may do harm, since running cat is an involuntary stimulus to chase it.
But if the dog wags the tail and by typical postures invites the cat to play, you may be sure, the dog is in sympathize with cat. The cat may display its' sympathies with the dog by biting the dog's tail or using it to sharpen claws. Cats adore warmth and quickly grasp that a dog is a living "heating pad", therefore they often lie beside the dog or even on the dog. Animals that got used to each other take care of their "friend": wash, clean ears, and sleep together.

So look now how peacefully can Russians live!

We shall live in peace! We shall live in peace!

About children
Most of Russian women usually have 2 children, and they bear them at the age of 20 to 30. But at the times of perestroika practically all families lacked money, so they could afford only one child. But nowadays the situation has changed, it’s got more stable. So Russian women bear even at their early forties, because families want to have not fewer than two children. Most Russian women stay with their children until they are three, except business ladies. Then they take them to a nursery school. Sometimes they don’t, if there is enough money in the family, and stay with their children until they go to school.
There are special play grounds near houses where kids play. In winter sledging is the most popular. Teenagers prefer riding a bike, roller-skating, playing football.

children : About a pet

About a pet
I can say that Russian people really like pets. Many of Russians have dogs, cats, parrots, hamsters, fish. Sometimes some people keep snakes. And if one lives in a country cottage they can also afford horses and even a pig as a pet. But most of Russians keep cats and dogs as a rule, and not of any particular breed, just yard-dogs and yard-cats, mongrels, especially if they live in the country. Well, of course, in Russia there are many dog-clubs and elite breeds, but Russians are very sympathetic to all animals, and take pity for all of them.
