in the hallway...
from Sam...
Virsaviya, I can hear her breath in the long hallway, nearly silent, only a faint echo of the busy ballroom in the distance. Many people enjoying themselves, I followed her here in this dimly lit corridor. Playfully she looked backward, her bare back fading in the darkness of the hallway corner. Briefly the end of her dress fluttered a reflection of light before it was engulfed in darkness. Quickly I walked after her, into the dark hall. Her breathing louder now, full of excited pleasure. Suddenly as the light left my eyes, her arms wrapped around me. A bit startled I was but quickly I relax when I feel the warmth of her soft hands just under my ears. Her body presses against mine, without thinking my arms take hold of her and pull her tightly, closer against me. I feel her heart beating in her chest, surely she feels mine. |

on the beach... - Hello! – I heard a pleasant male voice near me some time later. I opened the eyes and saw a cute young guy squatting opposite me. He was smiling friendly. - Hello! – he repeated and added something in Greek. - Sorry, I don’t speak Greek. - Ok, – said the guy and looked at my sister first, then at me again. – 5 euros. I need 5 euros. - You need 5 euros?.. – I echoed the guy, as if it could help me to get everything better. - Yes, for bed, - replied the guy, beaming. – 5 euroes, for bed. As my sister didn’t speak English, I said to her in Russian: - He is asking for money, for bed. - Yes, I can understand “5 euroes” ! – my sister looked at the guy crossly. - They got mad! These guys in Europe – they got absolutely mad! – she became furious. – They do not want to work at all! Just look! He is so young and strong, and he is begging for money! For 5 euroes! |

FOUR PERSONSOnce travelling about Czech Republic , Prague, my sister and me decided to taste famous czech beer. A small restaurant seemed nice, cozy, and not overcrowded. So in we came. A handsome waitor greeted us warmly. - Come in, please! What would you like? – he asked. - Hello! It’s our first visit here, in Prague. We would like to taste good Czech beer. Could you recommend something to us, please? - Oh, yes, sure! – said the smiling waiter, and gave us a menu. Would you like it light or dark? Dark usually contains more alcohol, – he explained. - Then certainly we want light. The waiter named the beer, and I seeked for it in the menu. - But it’s strong, it contains… - I started, showing the line. - Yes, - the waiter interrupted me. This is dark. What I recommend you is not on the menu now. But if you like, I’ll bring you this beer, it’s light, and really very good. - Ok, - said I. – beer and risotto then. - So, - summed up the waiter. – it will be risotto, and two beers, light. Right?.. for 4 persons, – he added after a pause. My gesture of confirmation froze in the air. |
